Two Caught With $3.6M Worth Of Cocaine In Hudson Valley Stop

A total of $3.6 worth of cocaine was confiscated and two men arrested after an early Saturday morning drug bust in the Hudson Valley.

While patrolling the Town of Newburgh, Orange County sheriff’s deputies pulled over a tractor-trailer headed for the New York State Thruway for following a car too closely.

A subsequent probable-cause search of the trailer, performed by a state police K-9 and sheriff's office k-9, turned up a sack containing 10 kilograms of cocaine, with an estimated street value of $3.6 million, according to the sheriff’s office.

Two St. Elizario, Texas men -- Francisco Castillo Jr. and Saul Onzures -- were arrested and charged with first-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony.

They were both remanded to Orange County Jail without bail.
